My baby sister was born today at 8am.  And Mimi's new blog was born, too.  Please go www.sammyolivia.blogspot.com  from now on.  Bye bye Daily Samantha.....

I'm a little busy today, so.....

So I am just gonna eat this chocolate donut that has sprinkles on it and head off to the hospital.  Why?  Have you not been paying attention?  My baby sister, Whosits, is being born this morning!  I am no longer an only child raising my mommy and daddy.  Now reinforcements are here!

The only child

Swimming Pool

Yesterday we delivered a tree for Mommy and Daddy.  While it got planted, Mommy got Sammy's pool put together and filled with water.  Sammy loves her pool!  At first she put one foot in and, as the water was cold, quickly pulled her foot back out.  Within five minutes she was wholly in the pool, dress and diaper wet, enjoying herself immensly!  Off came the diaper and the dress and our little mermaid was splashing around.  The pool has an awning so little baby skin won't burn.  She's going to have a fun summer with this! 

Who's Bench?

I told Mammie, er, Sammy that Papa bought this special bench for our patio.  She wanted to know if it was Sammy's bench and I told her that she had to share it.  Padden's bench?  Yes, it would be his, too.  Whosits bench?  Yes, even little Whosit can sit there.  But Sammy seemed more concerned that Papa needed to sit in the bench with her.  And you can bet I'll be there with the camera for that one!

Dining al fresco

Miss Priss here decided that she'd take her breakfast outside, thank you very much.  (See how smart I am?  Served her in a plastic container instead of my usual dishes.  Hey, I could just see her fling a bowl out into the yard....)

Welcome to the 1950s

Sammy found the drawer where I throw these velcro curlers and after seeing them in my hair (!) she wanted to try them, too.

Happy Second Blog Birthday

Today this blog two years old.  This many :::holding up two fingers:::  I didn't think I could do it every day but I did with the occasional help from Mommy!  Yea Me!

Like many this past holiday weekend in our area, enjoyed beautiful weather finally.  And that meant for some, yard work.  Using her birthday gift of gardening tools, Sammy helped Daddy as only a two year old can 'help'.

Pony

Sammy doesn't say Pony Tail, she just says Pony.  So Pony it is when she comes over and I fix her 'do.

Sammy prefers to tie her own shoes.

Tie-it

Tie-it is Sammy's way of saying, "Shhh, QUIET"  the baby birds are sleeping!!  (right behind the light is their nest)

OMG!

Sammy showed up in theses the other day and I was laughing so hard!  Leave it to Mommy to find True Religion jeans for her daughter!  I just love the fact that when this girl bends over you see an Elmo diaper not a thong!

Mmmm, Parmesan

The other day at lunch, Sammy saw a tub of parmesan cheese and decided the world would end if she didn't have it.  As you can see, the world didn't end.  You're welcome.

Sammy had just put the binkie in Camden's mouth and then she decided that Auntie needed one, too!

Everyone knows that before you leave the house, check the mirror.  Hat? Check.  Coat? Check.  Necklace? Check.  Gladiator Sandals? Check.  Ready to go.

Noodles!

Sammy loves her noodles!  She's become a two-fisted eater with them!  Be careful Sammy; if you take after your Mommy's side of the family, no problem.  But if you take after your Daddy's side of the family, pasta will be the death of your hips.

More bubbles

Sammy's friend Sherill keeps plenty of candy and toys available for a little girl who visits at Mommy and Daddy's work.  By the time Sammy was done blowing bubbles, the soap had saturated the carpet in spots and her dress was soaked too.  No need to add detergent to that load, Mommy.

Beach Babe

Sammy and her posse went to Tahoe for a day of sunning.  Notice how her hair is starting to whip around in the breeze?

Sammy is learning the fine art of backing up a 40' coach.  She just can't reach the pedals yet.

Rosy Cheeks

Sammy got some rosy cheeks from her trip to Tahoe with the girls.  She was SOOO tired from that day, she slept in till 9am!!!  I had to go and check on her just to make sure she was still breathing!

Um, well.  Ah.  Every two year old with absolutely no reference for logic or reasoning should always be shown how to shoot a rubber band.  Especially if said two year old is about to have a brand new baby sister named Whosits.  Because you know, when they're in their teens...Sammy will be shooting Whosits for getting into her clothes.....

I should have known

Letting Sammy feed herself slightly liquid foods is a testament to a grandmother's patience.  Actually, I have tons of patience because I hold the camera in her face all the time waiting for moments just like this.

I'm still laughing

When Sammy woke up from her nap yesterday, her hair was a blonde whirling dervish.  I couldn't stop laughing at how wild it was.

She's gonna hate this when she's 14.

Monsters Inc

When the movie Monsters Inc came out, we took the kids to see it.  'Kids' being a relative turn.  Yes, we still took kids to see Disney movies...WHEN THEY WERE IN THEIR 20'S! Anyway....:::cough:::, Mommy gave me this stuffed animal, Sully, for Christmas because she knew how much I enjoyed the character.  When Sammy was watching the movie yesterday, I gathered up Sully and gave it to Sammy.  She carried it around with her for the whole morning.

Back in the saddle again...

Hi folks!  We're back from our wonderful vacation but let me tell you...we sure missed all the little ones back home!  Thank you again, Mommy, for keeping this blog going with current photos and for doing the same with Panden's (Camden's).  First day back with Sammy involved watching Monster's Inc.  Daddy liked watching it, too.

Horsie ride

This is one of Samantha's two horses that she has.  This is her after nap horsie and the other one is the morning and before she goes to bed horsie.  She loves riding them!  This one that she is riding used to be my horse when I was little.

Counting

That #6 she just doesn't like to say!

Hair!!!!

Finally we are seeing Samantha get some hair.  Still no haircut in the near future, but it is curly in the back and very blonde!!!  She actually has hair blowing in the wind!

What?

I was trying to get a picture of Samantha and her new horsie pjs, but apparently she was more interested in watching Clifford!  She was like, "what?" get on with the picture.  There was no card with these pjs but we think they are from Uncle Mitch and Aunt Christy :-)

An we're out...

Poor Sammy has a moler coming in and so she fell asleep on the floor at 12:30pm and Christopher and I had to wake her up to eat at almost 6:00pm!!!!  She then proceeded to fall asleep on me around 7:15!!!  Poor tired little girl!

Ready for bed...

Samantha in her robe that she got for her birthday, comes with bunny ears and all.  She puts on the robe and slippers every night and says, "warm."

American Girl Collection....

Nana and Papa had bought Sammy the bitty baby from the American Girl collection.  Well I found some bunny slippers and a robe from the American Girl Collection and Sammy LOVES the robe and slippers.  However, I am not going back to that site anytime soon, talk about becoming broke!  (this was a bday present from us)

Driver's Seat

Samantha's Daddy started a habit of letting Sammy ride on his lap when pulling into our driveway at home.  So now, all she say's is "lap, lap." 

1,2,3 and blow....

This was on Sammy's actually birthday...I made her a brownie with some whipped cream on top.  She was very excited to blow out her candles, however she was not going to let go of those balloons!

Baseball season has begun...

Now that basketball season is over, we are into the baseball season...so what did daddy have to go buy his daughter?  A Giants hat!  She is already for the games.

Completely Occupied

The sandbox was a birthday present from Nana and Papa and the wheel barrow was from Auntie Sheena and Uncle Kyle.  She has not left this area since her birthday.  Every morning, her first words are "outside, outside."  So far most of the sand has remained in the sandbox or in the wheel barrow!

I think I'll stay over here...

Daddy took Sammy to a field trial the other day where there were lots of puppies and horses...however as much as she loves puppies and horses, she does like to keep her distant.  This little puppy Huckleberry was a very hyper dog so she thought it better to stay a little out of his reach.  She has been knocked over a few times by our VERY hyper short hairs!

Okay, so here it is for you guys that haven't gotten it yet or who don't live near us!  For Samantha's sister we aren't telling anyone her name.  HOWEVER, Samantha will tell you her sister's name and if you can figure out what she is saying then we will let you know if you are right or not!  So email me your answer of what you think Sammy's sisters name is and I will tell you if you are right or not.  Quite a few people were able to ask Sammy on her birthday and they did get it right...so we shall see how everyone does.  Good luck!

What A Helper...

I had asked Sammy's daddy to have grass before we had her birthday party...and sooo who do you think wanted to help?  She is definitely daddy's little helper, if he is outside that is exactly where she wants to be.

Samantha's Birthday Party!

Thank you all for coming for Samantha's birthday party and making it such a special day for her!!  She has more toys than I KNOW what to do with!  This was her special and very LARGE cupcake.

OK, you win, Mommy

Mommy is 8 months pregnant with Sammy's little sister, Whosits.  Papa and I are going on a little vacation to visit friends and Mommy/Daddy has said that they will post photos of Sammy for all of us here until we return.  Have fun and I miss you all already!
