This is Sammy looking up at me after I told her that pushing that button, yes that button, right there on the computer, no that one, would make me very sad. She's learning the word no. And the full comprehension of the word won't take effect until she has children of her own.
Isn't this pitiful? Little Sammy has come down with her first cold. She has her moments when it's as if she isn't sick at all, babbling away, playing with her toys and crawling everywhere. And then? Little thing will just sit and tear up. Nose running, so sad. And her cheeks are so red from her temperature. Mommy took her to the doctor Wednesday.
Unless she's sleeping, Sammy doesn't sit still for very long. She's mobile! But today, while I was taking this shot, some birds were chattering away outside the window and Sammy looked up. Bingo!
I was finally let out of the house on Friday and met with Grumpa, Mommy, Daddy, and Sammy for lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I was made to sit as far away from Sammy as possible as my head cold is still hanging on. (but it's on the wane big time) Sammy showed interest in all the food and you could tell that she'd really like to try that salsa, or maybe the burrito? In the end, Mommy gave a little bite of guacamole.
When I got a look at this photo of Sammy on the computer I couldn't believe it. Her eyes are going to be somebody's downfall in the future. First and foremost will be Daddy.
Mommy took this picture for me on Monday. Mommy has been bringing Sammy to work and here she is taking a morning snooze in her crib at work. I haven't been watching Sammy for a few days because I've come down with a bad head cold. And due to this, I asked Mommy for a new photo since I miss that That Baby so much. Don't you just want to snuggle with her?
I wanted to show you how well Sammy's hair is coming in. The last time I tried to take a photo of it, I had to put her into the sunlight just so that the hair would show by reflection. Now you can see it laying on her head!! And, when she wakes up, she has baby bed head. Naturally the longest hair is on top, about 2 inches worth. And no, it's not curly. Yet.
Since Sammy is crawling now, Mommy prefers to keep her in her jammys during the day. How comfortable is that? Wouldn't you like to sit around in your pj's all day long? (Jammys are easier to keep clean unlike those white velour juicy's)
All the lower items on my shelving has now been locked tight, put up, or whatever else I could do with it. Now, when she learns how to work ziplock bags, we're in trouble!
Does this remind anyone else of the old Peanuts comic strip with the little kid on the back of the mother's bike? This is Nana taking little Sammy for ride in Redondo.
Sammy and Mommy are currently in Redondo spending some time with Nana. Here is a photo that Mommy sent up to me of Sammy enjoying the warm weather on their walk.
Happily married for over 30 years and have two wonderful children. They in turn have married wonderful people. Aren't we all lucky? And now comes our future in grandchildren!
