This past weekend, Grumpa and I were grocery shopping when lo and behold! Giant pumpkins! I wanted the biggest one we could fit into the cart. I introduced Sammy to it this morning...her words?
This past weekend Sammy and her posse went to a petting zoo in Apple Hill. She had the opportunity to ride her very first LIVE horse. She was not thrilled.
You can see that Sammy's Uncle Dave is tickling her feet. And she's stuck in the comfy, cozy corner of the couch. Yeah, Uncles do that sort of thing. Let me out!
What does this say about my generation? The last few toys that I've got for Sammy are a shopping cart and a vacuum. I should just give her an iron and a Betty Crocker cookbook to top it all off!
Sammy decided (since she reads soooo much) that she needed to puruse the cookbooks since the holidays are coming up. She was a little disappointed that my cookbooks didn't have pictures of doggies or bears or ducks (duck a l'orange?).
Sammy has begun to stick her tongue out when she's concentrating. I think that she's not used to feeling those two new bottom teeth...but she sure is cute when she does it!
Also, Mommy told me yesterday that Sammy has begun to climb out of her crib at naptime, open her door and come out to see what's going on. I can only laugh.
Happily married for over 30 years and have two wonderful children. They in turn have married wonderful people. Aren't we all lucky? And now comes our future in grandchildren!
